Welcome to Court Meadow RDA
For nearly 50 years, Court Meadow RDA has brought the joy and freedom of horse riding to children with special educational needs. Every Thursday morning in term time, our qualified coaches and volunteers run therapeutic riding sessions at Tremaines Riding Stables in Horsted Keynes.
We ride with pupils from three local SEN schools – Hill Park, The Hive and Brantridge – and with individual riders who come with their families or carers. Sessions build confidence, balance, coordination and communication, and above all they’re fun.
What we do
School sessions
Tailored weekly riding for pupils from Hill Park, The Hive and Brantridge, working alongside teaching staff.
Individual riders
Weekly sessions for riders attending with family or carers. Lessons are free, and demand is high, so we keep a waiting list.
Summer Rally
A week of longer sessions, horse care and, weather permitting, rides in the countryside, ending with rosettes for everyone.

Volunteer with us
No experience needed – just enthusiasm, patience and a smile. Each pony needs a leader and two side walkers, and we train everyone.
Support our riders
We need to raise £15,000 a year just to keep riding, and we receive no grants or central funding.
