RECYCLING MILK BOTTLE TOPS
Tops must be clean. This means not only washed but free of any paper or foil inserts or labels.
The granulated tops go to make hard plastic toys for children, such as slides and other garden toys.
They also go to make more bottle tops!
Want to help a local Riding for the Disabled charity?
Court Meadow Group RDA works each week with a local School – Woodlands Meed in Burgess Hill. This has pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties. Through riding the children learn new skills such as physical co-ordination, to follow simple instructions as well as learning to care for an animal. They also develop a sense of pride and a higher self esteem.
All the members are volunteers but it costs a lot each week to hire a riding school, ponies and ensure all safety equipment is kept in good order or replaced regularly.
The tops will be picked up from the home of one of our volunteers when sufficient quantities have been collected and money raised is donated to the RDA group.
If you would like to support us please bring your tops to 45 Downsview Drive in Wivelsfield Green and leave by the garage door.
If you would like them collected please ring 01444 471 336 (local collections only!)
