Registered Charity No. 1073675

Financing our Group

As with any charity, we are dependent upon the generosity of sponsors, fund raisers, donations and volunteers to ensure that our students can continue to benefit from their regular riding sessions.

Our outgoings are high as ponies and their equipment are expensive commodities. Our Group currently needs to raise £10,000 a year just to cover our everyday running costs, which includes hire of ponies and facilities, insurance, transport of ponies and riding clothing for the children.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: "Be part of something special"

By helping with our lessons. Each pony needs a leader and two side helpers. Every week during term time, some 45 volunteers turn out in all weather, to help either in the indoor school, or in the small 'classroom' we have built, where the children learn about tack and horse care
By sponsoring a rider or a pony
By donating to "Court Meadow Group RDA" funds
By remembering "Court Meadow Group RDA" in your Will you can reduce inheritance tax liability and support RDA

Priors Farm Vets at Forest Row are holding an Art Event on 1st & 2nd October, and Court Meadow has been selected as beneficiaries of their fund-raising efforts. We are hugely grateful to them, not only for raising money on our behalf, but they also look after our loan ponies, Puppet, Banner and Digger!

Michelle is working hard to produce another calendar with the wonderful photographs of our riders taken by Julien Portch. These will go on sale before Christmas at £10 each.

The next fund-raising event being organised by our group will be the annual Bridge Lunch which will be held at the Millennium Hall in Scaynes Hill on 14th February 2012.

Please collect plastic milk bottle tops and bring them along to any of the riding sessions.

Please recycle old mobile phones and print cartridges (envelopes available from the Secretary).

We are grateful to Gatwick Airport Pantomime Society for supporting our charity last year. Their fantastic efforts with Cinderella raised a magnificent £4,300 for Court Meadow Group RDA.

We raised over £2,000 at the Summer Luncheon and made a healthy profit at the Musical Summer Soiree, both events held in 2011.
